A Capella Choir

Standard

Today’s post is going off the scheduled photo feature to do some current video. Thursday was the fall concert for NKC High School vocal department, and I’m giving you a video clip of the A Capella Choir singing.

All three numbers below are good. And it was great to see people rise when the group did the Star Spangled Banner (which actually sounds better to me on the video than it did live). But the other two songs are actually the ones I enjoyed more, and appreciated more for their skill. Listen close and you can hear the overtones forming in Good Night, Dear Heart and Great God Almighty more than the Star Spangled Banner. I think the anthem was too pushed to allow the freedom that would have released the overtones.

But don’t let my musical analysis make you miss out on enjoying all three of them.  Enjoy!
