Places and Worlds

Standard

Okay, today’s post is much later than normal. It is also going to be different than normal. Yes, there is still the Wine festival at Worlds of Fun, but that is all I am going to say about it.

The Worlds in the headline is the subject of the Songflower Chorale concert that I am featuring in today’s post.

The thematic content of the songs we will be singing (yes, I am one of the 14 singers) revolves around places and worlds. It is a fun, eclectic concert, older music and newer, with some written, some arranged, by the director, Geoffrey Wilcken.

I’d write more about the program, except it is all stated better in the printed program booklet, so I’ll just let that speak for itself, and entice you to come to one of our two performances: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at St. Mary’s Episcopal, 1307 Holmes St. Kansas City, MO; and 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Faith Lutheran, 4805 W. 67th St., Prairie Village, KSSongflower 01Songflower 03Songflower 07Songflower 08Songflower 02Songflower 04Songflower 05Songflower 06
